DRAWING COURSE

This course is addressed to those who wish to release their creative sensitivity through drawing and the expressivity of the human face.
Beginners and experts will be followed individually throughout the lessons.

The indispensable tools that will accompany  the student are: pencils, charcoals, fusains, sanguine (red chalk).

Lessons and exercises will focus on the analysis of the human face.
Five main emotion bring out the somatic features of our face: anger, joy, worry, sadness and fear. All of these dwell in the farthest parts of our conscience, but visibly animate our facial expressions. Eyes, nose, mouth, cheeks, forehead, chin and cheekbones represent who we are and the feelings that lie inside of us.

At the end of this course every student is going to realize a portrait, or self-portrait on paper, studying the physiognomy of the emotion that the student will choose among the five which we talked about.
The course is extremely practical and theoretical parts will be constantly supported by manual exercises.

OBJECTIVES:

* Basic knowledge of chiaroscuro, lights and shadows
*To be able to realize sketches, essential for the creation of the final work
*To be able to draw eyes, nose and mouth with dexterity
*To be able to apply basic proportion’s techniques, which are necessary for the artistic elaboration of a face
*To understand the relationship between the impulses of the soul and facial expression
*To realize the final work

*Pencils HB-2B-3B-4B-5B-6B-7B-8B.
*Charcoals
*Sanguine
*Fusain (facultative)
*A sepia pencil
*Putty rubber
*White pencil eraser
*Fabriano Sketchbook 200g rough texture 33x48 cm
*Brushes sized 2, 8 and 12 (only for experienced ones)
